Lovely pub in a lovely village but with absolutely shocking customer service. We went on the last evening of our family holiday, we were in the pub at 5.30 and ordered our food at 6 when the food service began as we have two young children and didn't want to be eating when they were getting tired. My husbands food came out at 6.40 with the shared starter, when my meal did not follow after a few minutes we asked where it was to be told there had been a mistake and the chef was cooking it as we spoke and it would be 4-5 minutes. By 7 o'clock we still had no food, we asked to speak to the manager who said there had been a mistake and the food was on its way - not very nice as my husbands meal was already ruined, but we could have a free drink or sweets, we declined this offer as we had not had a main yet. We asked to be refunded and the manager was so rude. The mistake was entirely their fault yet we were made to feel as though we were being difficult and should pay for food that we had not enjoyed and not recieved. I use the word manager loosely as they were not managerial skills that he displayed, he was rude, ignorant and walked away leaving other people to deal with the situation. Very dissapointing, we will not be returning there and would definitely not recommend it.
