The Duke Of York is now going to be very busy Pub due to the film War Horse, which was written by Michael Morpurgo who lives just down the road! It is the most wonderful traditional Devon Pub, with no music, just the warming chatter of happy punters, along with a roaring open log fire, and wonderful food and drink! John and his staff will welcome you, and I think you will find once tried, you will keep going back.

Hi we had a lovely meal at the duke of york. it was my parents 50th wedding anniversary, so wanted something special. food was great, service was very good i can recomend the tuna. half way through the meal we had a walk round the village, to let our food down before we had our pudding,we got chatting to a man who had lived in the village all his life (he is 91 )fantastic. thanks again we had a great night. PS please say hi to him
