Happy to second all the previous positive comments: good food, pints and an unpretentious friendly atmosphere. Decent covered area for us smokers and plenty of room to eat and drink in the garden as well. Refreshing to see the local drinkers properly looked after as well us visitors. Couldn't ask for more.

This is a proper pub, the new landlord and lady are very friendly and knowledgeable about the fantastic real ales on offer, allowing you to try before you buy! The food is good honest pub food and the ambience is fantastic, the resident labrador making the place feel all the more homely. The decor gives it a wondeful cosy feel, with a log fire constantly on the go. I cannot reccomend this pub more, for anyone wanting real ale and a real english pub, this is the place to go.
