If you are looking for a family meal without having to wait hours for it then I am afraid the Slip Tavern is not for you. We arrived and ordered our food from an appealing menu and settled down to wait for our food. Luckily there is a large beer garden where my two small children could be entertained during what turned out to be a very lengthy wait. After an hour we had recieved our starter and began the wait for our main course. I certainly could not reccommend this pub and its' service for any one with children. When my husband complained about the service he was told that we should take longer over our food and enjoy it and that if we didn't like the service we should go elsewhere. Obviously not the words of anyone with two small children or a strong customer service background. Having said that the starters and main courses when they arrived were good, unfortunately we could not ask our children to sit around any longer as we had already been there nearly two hours, so I can not comment on the puddings.
