My friend and I went for lunch, could not fault the food at all, lovely eating area and garden. But thought the staff were lacking in customer service - very cold. There was a slight problem with the credit card machine when paying our bill, the young girl said she would fetch the manager, but the manager never appeared and left the girl to cope with it. Not very professional.

I often eat and drink here for two main reasons, first for the food that is outstanding (has gone down hill a little lately, not sure why) and the second reason is to watch the drunken manager stumble around the pub/restaurant bumping into tables and customers trying in vain to hold it together. Worth a visit for this alone hilarious….

A very friendly and cozy pub! We didn't want to have a big lunch as it was already past 2 pm and the lady did us a kind offer to share the Ploughman's with some extra bread and cheese. Thanks for your great lunch and hospitality!
