We were staying at RIbby HAll village and came along to the Grapes for dinner. We had a fantastic meal all very fresh and lovely presented. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful would definitely recommend this pub.

We arrived for dinner at the Grapes and ordered our food at 7.18pm on a Wednesday night,(monkfish skewers with mushroom rice £14.45 and scallops and black pudding with sweet potato mash £14.45) the food took until 8.10pm to arrive, just as we were complaining about the lengthy wait, the manager apologised and said they were busy. However, the monkfish looked more like a starter with two small pieces of fish on each of the two skewers and no mushrooms visible in the rice. After complaining to the manager the food was taken away to remedy the portion size. Both main meals returned, one with now 3 small pieces of fish on each of the two skewers and the scallop/black pudding reheated. But although described as Monkfish, it clearly was not, either in taste or texture and closely resembled Haddock as it flaked into very fine pieces and some were cold and the peppers on the skewers were still uncooked.. The scallop and black pudding contained only 3 small scallops. After further complaint to the manager we refused to eat the food and obtained a refund and left. The waitresses and bar staff are very polite and good, but the food quality leaves a lot to be desired. this is our second poor meal in this pub and we will not be returning.

Lunchtime and the pub was quiet. Ham, egg and chips for my wife. Ham was processed, the tomato was unripe and difficult to cut. The rocket was so wilted, it looked like a dandelion leaf. My chicken, mozzarella & bacon was so dry, it was difficult to cut, let alone swallow. It tasted like the whole meal had been re-heated. The sautéed potatoes were all stuck together. The complaint was taken by the waitress, but that was the last we heard of the matter. First and last visit for us.

At table 24 we were served by two very pleasant young men and at the end by a young lady - your staff, in this instance, were certainly a credit to you ... well done to them! Food was OK, but main impact on our arrival was the sheer 'tattiness' of the table .. we wondered which skip you had rescued it from? Your table was certainly shabby and not 'shabby chic'.

Out visit to The grapes Wrea Green. 1. We rang to book but the phone was always engaged 2. The bar is not serviced very well. 3. It took a long time for the food to come. 4. The food did not come together. 5. The food was not that great when it came. 6. The childrens ice creams came after 30 mins, they could of fed a large adult! and it took another 10 minutes to bring a so called bread and butter pudding. 7. Coffe! it never arrived so we got up and left. 8. For the last 3 years we have eat there on New years day with our children. We will be finding another place this year.

today my husband and i visited the Grapes at Wrea Green for lunch i had the clams with taglatellie my husband had the bombadere steak pie i have to say the food was delicious but i was anoyed to find that when we went back to our car there was a note on the windscreen saying that the carpark was for clients only whilst i can understand that it must be annoying when people park there and then visit the shops i checked the car park and our car was the only one with the note on i was extremely angry and wanted to go back into the pub to complain but mjy husband didn't want to make a fuss if this is how you treat passing trade then i would imagine you won't get many people calling back i wouldn't mind if we had visited the shops as well but we came into the pub and left straght away please gets your facts right in future
