We booked on the 27th of december 2007 for a table for 4(2 adults+kids) at20:00. We arrived on time and ordered by 20:15. We ordered 1 big plate for 2 with ~beef on the bone (£30)~, an 8oz rib eye steak (£9.90),mushrom on spinach for starter , chips for side dishes and vegetables, beers etc.The rib eye steak was finished and had to be cancelled, and a beef stew was ordered instead, the chips arrived by 21:10 and the rest of the food by 21:20.The mushrom starter was great-tasty and finger licking good. The meat on both of the plates was full of fat. Actually the fat was so much, that one could think that we have ordered lard with some chunks of meat. The grilled meat- whatever meat trully existed -was badly burned on the grill, and it did have a bitter taste from burning. In other words excellent ambience, excellent beer , really late service and most of all really bad meat.We ended up paying 63 pounds enjoying beer ,chips and peas. No matter where we come from , when we order beef we talk about meat, not lard. Imagine our 7 year old daughter asking us not to bring her again to such a place which serves chewing gum for meat.
