Both the Cartwheel Restaurant and the Temple Bar are under new ownership/management. We've been coming to Amroth for over 30 years. The Cartwheel has lost all its ambiance and is now just a glorified cafe. My husband and I ate there and found the attitude of the waitress who served us left much to be desired. We were the only ones in the place and we felt that we were disturbing everyone by being there. My husband ordered gammon steak with a pineapple slice (which didn't appear). When my husband commented he was told that he could have it for pudding with custard. I'd ordered fish with a lime and coriander dressing but, once again, no dressing. The Temple Bar menu seems to be the basic pub fare of pies, chips, burgers, chilli, lasagne etc etc. There were no salads, fish or fresh veggies available. I ordered crab cakes and these were virtually inedible. I could barely get my fork through the breadcrumbed crust! In future its either a visit to the New Inn or the Amroth Arms, or a drive over to Wiseman's Bridge, Saundersfoot or even Tenby if we wish to have a decent meal. I do so hope that they improve as they can't get much worse!

Amazing food, a huge selection that makes you want to try one of everything, Get lots on your plate for a very reasonable amount of money. Everything is cooked to order, a lot of which is home made. Highly recommend eating here and believe that once you have you will keep on going back time and time again. Friendly helpful staff, a great atmosphere, plenty of choice to cater for all tastes and a wonderful sea view to top it all off!!
