Good Points: Price was cheap! Bad Points: Poor reception on arrival - shown to room and left. Pillows were flat; the room was dirty and very cramped; the shower cubical (and I am a size 8) was even more cramped and I kept hitting my elbows off the side! When I was asked what I would like for breakfast I asked for 2 poached eggs on toast and was simply told "NO!" General review: Very disapointing - a shame as location is great and a bit of care and attention to hygene and personal warmth and friendlyness could make this a super place to stay.

I originally stayed at the Boreland Lodge for 2 1/2months for a job I had. Nice place, great owner. I liked the town, good pubs. I returned to show my wife the town of Inverkeithing and we had to stay in the Boreland. If I had to be in the area again, i would stay there. We met a great group of people at the Inverkeithing Bowling Club, they made us feel like we were part of their families. We also enjoyed dining near the Firth of Fourth Bridge, what a view! Glad to see that you are on the internet.
