We visited this camp site several times in the 6months stated, and had no complaints. We loved the tall trees that seperated the different areas, as they made it so peaceful, and if you are staying in the middle of the countryside, you must accept that wild birds- including the now endangered wood pigeon - and their droppings etc., and other forms of wildlife as well, are all part of that way of life. As for the gentleman who arrived late, and knew he was going to be late, he could himself have phoned the camp site to let them know, and ask them to hold his site.Yes, the facilities may be a little spartan for some, but they are there, and after all, it is a camping holiday!! No, we are not easily pleased, but it was well worth our visiting, and we shall again, for the privilege of the peace and quiet, the beautiful countryside, and the walks. There are very many places of interest within very easy reach, and it is close to the A1/M1. And, they are very happy to take dogs, which is also a terrific bonus. Incidentally, we always found the owners very hospitable, and always ready to have a chat.
