The abysmal service was so bad that I honestly thought that a TV crew were going to jump out at say that I have been had 'Jeremy Beadle Style'. The Management were so RUDE! Upon arriving some of my party were left waiting in reception for over 20mins, when the 'Receptionist/Manager finally lumbered along, she just grunted and demanded payment. At no point throughout the stay did she crack a smile, only a grimace. I asked for a couple of glasses with some ice for the room and was told "We don't have glasses in the room a people fight, and if you want ice you can go down the road..they sell bags for £1"....I was gobsmacked. You are only allowed one key per room, no matter how many people stay - and if you dare ask for another key you are questioned as to why you want extra keys, and you have to put a £20 deposit down. One of my party rang the bell at 11pm as she did not have a spare key to get in and she got a mouthful from the Receptionist who screamed at her for daring to ring the bell at that time! The rooms were grotty and shambolic, filled with odd furniture and the bedside lamps had the bulbs taken out of them. It was a horrific example of a Hotel and I cannot understand why the staff would want to work in the service industry when they clearly hate people! SHOCKING.
