Three friends and myself often centre several local rambles around this pub which we return to on regular occasions. There is a large and varied menu too that caters well for walkers, and a decent range of real ales available, and the prices are more acceptable than many others in the Chilterns. Parking next to the local pond provides easy access to the pub and to the nearby excellent second hand book shop too

I have visited the Red Lion on several occasions. The establishmentis in very pleasant surroundings opposite Penn Pond. The staff are friendly and the food above average for Pub meals. I found landlords John and Nadine welcoming.
