I moved to ramsey in sept 2006 and went looking for a pub that not only sold decent beer, had an atmosphere i could take my wife and family into, and one i would be happy to go into again.
The Jolly Sailor met and exceeded all these criteria. The landlord and landlady are very amiable, extremly helpful, and make newcomers or visitors feel at home. As do the all the other customers.
"The sailor" is a free house. The real Ales are kept to a very high standerd with a good variety and turn over. The customers cover the full spectrum of (legal) age groups indicating a popular and respected pub and staff.
This pub is well worth a visit if you want to enjoy a proper english pub with excellent service and staff, and want to enjoy a decent pint in original surroundings.
I am sure everyone will be pleased to meet you so come along and enjoy.
