We had to ask a member of staff for our drinks & starter orders to be taken after 45 mins wait sitting at our table, mussells starters had many broken shell left in sauce,very poor service & food,when spoke to the waitress she did apologise but explained she was instructed to slow down on orders as the kitchen was to busy , not up to normal standard

Decided to go for lunch. Ordered Duck with cherry sauce off main menu. About six tables already ordered but nothing happened for at least 25 mins then all the other tables were served. We must be next. The food looked lovely, all freshly cooked. We waited in anticipation of a lovely meal. 40 minutes after ordering, they came to tell us that there was no cherries for the sauce. if they had said that within 10-15 mins of ordering, we would have chosen something else. We got our money back and left. We went to the Grapes at Scaling Dam and had a delicious meal. The system at the jolly Sailor definately needs reviewing.
