Good Points: Helpful staff, good menu.
General review: Very nice hotel, and the 'beat-the-clock' menu gave exellent value for money and enticed us to eat at the hotel. Everything clean and tidy, and as one would expect.

I found this hotel on the internet, & the website looked good, however my one night's stay totally failed to live up to expectations!
The so called "Executive" Room for which I paid £90 for B&B turned out to be a dark hot airless room in the roof space which fronted on to the village high street, and was noisy.
Dinner was a disgrace. My main course of rib eye steak consisted of a stringy tastless piece of meat with a goo of sauce and melted cheese on the top. The new potatoes were shiny & burnt on one side and didn't taste good. This told me they were pre-cooked & then tossed around in a pan of hot oil. Salad on the side was just some mixed leaf, (straight out of the Sainsbury's or Tesco bag)!
The waitress looked at me blankly when I complained but did ask if I wanted something else, however I had lost my appetite at this stage. No one from management came out to see me and this item still appeared on my bill. At checkout I wasn't asked if everything had been OK which is customary.
I paid my bill in full as I couldn't be bothered to complain further and just wanted to get away.
Take my advice - Don't go there!!
