Luscious food in warm cosey surpoundings of true charector was enhanced by the wonderfully friendly, attentive and efficient staff.
A decent wine and ale list was complemented by delightful food, especially by the amazing muscle menu - a particular favourite of mine.
The atmosphere of this place always makes dinning here a particular joy. Real beams, antique brass, 450 years of use all preserved with care. So much better than cheap plastic and wood chip that sadly passes for charm these days.
If you are in south Devon and you miss the Anchor you are missing the best there is, truly.
