My wife and I visited the Quay-Inn just by chance one afternoon in early May 2010,we stopped for lunch and was so impressed with the food and service we decided to stay overnight at the Inn’s BB, not something we would normally do. We were not disappointed as the room we stayed in was very comfy and very affordable and the full English breakfast the following morning was superb, so much so that we arranged to stay at our next visited returning with my elderly parents for a weekend treat, again we were not disappointed as the service there was superb with very friendly staff and a professional bar manager, there was evening entertainment, again the food was superb with a wide variety of choice, I can only thank all the guys at the Quay-Inn for their hospitality and great service, We look forward to our next visit in early summer 2011.

We travelled to Wareham for Richard Green's funeral service and decided to stay overnight at Quay Inn. The quality of service at the Inn was fabulous and we decided to stay another night. Full English breakfast and friendly staff made the visit enjoyable. Evening meal and entertainment was also very enjoyable. To our surprise, the reasonable room charge included a magnificant breakfast served by Chef, with no extra charge for coffee refills. It is heartening to find there are still places that put their clients first. Keep it up you staff at Quay Inn. We shall visit again if in Wareham. Bill and Bridget

Please note that the report in this section with all the spelling mistakes is not the work of John Withers of Poole, unless there is a person of a similar name masquerading as me! However if the landlord would like to invite my wife and I to The Quay Inn as their guests we'll gladly do a review for them!

We have just stayed at the Quay Inn, the bar staff and management cant do enough for you. We were staying for the night so needed b&b, the room was excellent, clean with a king size bed, freeview tv and tea and coffee facilities. We had a meal on the Wednesday night, your steak comes out on a lava rock and you cook it on your table to your liking. Thursday morning we had an excellent breakfast and the new manager and chef couldn't do enough for us, if staying in Wareham i would highly recommend staying and eating here. 10 out of 10

I am afraid that our visit to the Quay was probably the most dissapointing that I have had in years. A group of 4 went for lunch and the menu sounded lovely but when our food arrived my Tuna was frozen in the middle and my friends trimmed steak was more fat than meat! We asked to speak with the manager who was the most rude person with absolutely no customer service skills. He told me that the chef said it was fine to serve frozen tuna as the rock was so hot it would defrost and asked why would I think that it should come out unfrozen as they could not possibly get fresh fish in August! He did not once apologise for the slow service or the fact that one of the meals was also served with the wrong potato option - his response was "well i've told the bar staff not to allow people a choice and if you had not of asked for a jacket potato you wouldn't have got the wrong food". Never again will we visit this pub which is a shame as we go to Wareham every year and so do many of our friends.

Our party of 7 included three young children; we were made to feel welcome; the service was a little slow but the food was worth waiting for. The Hot Rock was a great experience which meant that we could enjoy hot food and meat cooked to our likng. We'll come again when we are next in the area. Gopal and Ravi

I find it strange that I have looked at most of the pub websites in Wareham and it seems to me that mosthave recommended the Black bear as the best pub on other peoples web stes. Is this because the Black Bear is struggling for buisness and has to discredit all the other pubs. mayb they should get there own house in order before they critise well run pubs like The Quay,The Granary, harrys and The Duke. I visted the pub with my family and had the most fantastic meal. The quality of the food and service were outstanding and has to be the best that I have ever had. The staff and especially the Landlord and landlady wer so helpfull and attentive to us(nice to see a landlord who takes a pride in his pub and his customers) We have visted a few pubs in wareham like the Granary,Blak Bear and the Duke and they would all do well to learn from this pub about quality and customer service. Thank you all for a great day and we will see you all soon again. John Withers & Family (Poole)

I and my partner had the most enjoyable meal here and would highly recomend this pub for its friendliness, service and food quality. the Black rock grill is a fantastic idea and is the best pub food that I have tasted for many a year. What I also found which is something you dont find in many pubs was that the landlord was there being very attentive and chatty to the customers and the landlady was so pleasant to speak to also. I have to also make a coment about the bar staff that they were most pleasant. This is the best pub we have visted in many a year and would highly recommend this pub to anybody visting Wareham. Well done to all Rose Lyons Bournemouth

I and my Wife came to visit wareham for a weekend in March and were booked in by friends to stay at the Black Bear Pub,well to our horror when I was shown the room it was disgusting and dirty and we both decided to look elsewhere. We came accross a pub called the Quay Inn and decided t go in for a drink and consder what to do. Whilst having a drink by the warmfire a man came and said hello and started chatting (Who we now now was th Landlord)away, eventually we told him of our problem and he replied no problem we do accomadation and took us to have a look, well we were amazed at the standard of these rooms and could not fault them and asked if we could have one fo night, which he replied no problem. We went back to the pub and had the delious meal we have had in a pub for a long time. The staff were so attentive and the surroundings were so clean. I have to highly recommend this pub to anybody thinking or eating in Wareham. The landlord and his lovely Wife saved the day and his Staff were first rate. Helpful,Friendly, good food,CLEAN ROOMS,and we had a great nights sleep. Thank you Peter and Sunny and of course all your lovely staff David & Sharon Burns (Berkshire)

I visited the pub with a group of friends and had lunch, the food was good and the two young bar maids were brilliant as it was a very busy suday and they handled everything brilliantly. The bar maids deserve a pay rise. A very nice pub and it had imroved greatly over the past few monthes.
