A most convial atmosphere. The jazz started at 8.30 and continued until gone 11.00. The guest bitter is now 2.30, but still good.

Sunday lunchtime and lunches were being served; although the supply of roast potatoes and chunky veg on the bar was enough to keep the regulars happy. Clearly a regulars pub with several sat at the bar reading the newspapers and exchanging good natured banter. Bar staff were friendly and efficient. There was a guest beer which changes weekly with a section of lagers and other bitters available (John Smiths smooth, Abbot Ale and IPA) including Old Rosie in a polypin behing the bar. Guest beers are always £2.10p which is a good price these days.
Two pool tables are available in the rear lounge and a beer garden. A seperate smoking area is also available outside.
I noted there is live music available every Saturday night and Jazz every first and third Wednesday.
