Good Points: Beautiful building and settings, helpful staff
Bad Points: Overlook detail, eg wanted to borrow iron to iron shirt, discovered that iron had been used on plastic which had melted and had left dark mark on face. Possible solution to keep at reception, or at least with someone who checks it in and out.
General review: Very good, will recommend to friends

I loved every moment spent here! I am English and spent my hols as a girl in Cornwall. It was wonderful to come back forty years later and found nothing had changed from my memories. The hotel was a dream come true. I long to be back again. This hotel was evrything I could have ever wanted. I shall be back!

All the public rooms wonderful - opulent even - food was excellent, lovely gardens and swimming pool but... the room was seriously seedy. Hadn't been decorated for at least 40 years. Panel was falling off the bath. There was bare cement at the base of the hand basin. Damp patches bulging off the wall. Wardrobe door wouldn't close. The Television must have been an original - not even teletext on it. I gave away a superior one to the fete last year! A great shame when there was such potential there.
