After visiting the pub the week before with some friends, and having a good time at their karaoke night, we decided to go back yesterday.
Within a few minutes of sitting down with 3 friends (2 of which had drinks), we were approached by one of the staff (apparently was the landlady, but this is not 100%). She asked me and my other friend who didn't have a drink if we were going to buy drinks, and i replied with:
'probably in a minute, yeah'.
To which she replies with:
'you better do, this isn't a youth club'.
To which she turns her back on us and walks away.
I found this very insulting, as I'm of a legal age to drink, but I got treated like I was some trouble-making thug. There were plenty of 40+ year-old's in the pub with no drinks, but she picked on us as we were young. We were barely even talking also, whereas i could understand her being hostile if we were disrupting the pub.
