Good Points: interesting venue.Served an early breakfast. Bad Points: room extreemley hot. Had to run the fan provided all night as window would not open. The water from the bathroom tasted horrible, could provide a bottle of water! General review: OK. The breakfast was limited. No cornflakes.

Good Points: Stayed in room 3 which was delightful in style but natural daylight was limited and felt that more electric lighting would have been appropriate. Bad Points: Bath beautiful snd in keeping with style of room but totally inpractical for mature people with problematical knee or hip joints as it was too high to get into. A shower cubicle would have been of more use! General review: We requested twin beds whilst booking and were given a queen sized double. We were unable to shower the following morning as bath was too high to climb into. Overall we loved the style, warmth and general ambience of the building. The staff were very warm, welcoming and performed well in all departments of the hotel. We would certainly recommend this to our friends but think that visitors should be offered the choice of bath or shower.

Good Points: Generally excellent, restaurant & food outstanding. Ensuite well equipped and clean. Bad Points: Room a bit basic - for example no spare socket to plug kettle in without placing kettle on floor. Creaking floorboards - more of a problem for the person in the room below!! General Review: Would certainly use this hotel again, though would try to get a room at the side or rear, rather than facing the road. Some road noise - enough to disturb someone not used to it, but probably not an issue for others who are accustomed to traffic noise.

Good Points: A comfortable hotel in a small town with a excellent Cathedral and pleasent areas to visit Bad Points: More effort could have been made at reception to welcome and explain facilities General Review: A pleasent weekend break about 1 hour from home which acted as a good local centre to visit new areas as well as the town itself. The recently opened (5 years) NT Workhouse buildings were well worth a visit as were the choral services at the Cathedral

Good Points: Central for my visit, clean, reasonable breakfast. Bad Points: Improve central heating system in my room and attend to towel rail that was not heated. General Review: As the hotel is central for my visit I thought it was rather expensive in view of there being heating problems.Otherwise found the accommodation adequate and will, hopefully , book again.
