St. Andrews is a wonderful town – and not just for golf. This is one of our favourite hotels: it works for us; it’s not absolutely perfect (the lounge is a bit faded and we wish they would take more care of their plants) but it seems to get the balance right. The food is excellent: true quality cuisine for £28 for dinner! We booked in a golf party and they sang its praises. You are in town, which is nice, where the shopping is characterful and strolling a pleasure. The cobbled streets and charming architecture are unique and rather special. The beaches are magnificent. This town house hotel is an alternative to the bigger hotels. Tip: do try and get a sea-facing room; and remember the handy 4-room suite set-up for groups. The view is stunning, and the sounds soul stirring.
