It's had a reverse face lift and although the food is still good all the ambience and little touches that made this a special night out have fled.
The olives are Tesco pitted wimpy things floating in an ocean of oil. The menu is now fixed price so portions are smaller, poorly presented and generally just not finished off well (my potato rosti floated soggily in a mustard sauce).
We hovered around for 5 minutes or so before being spoken to or seated despite the place being half full.
This is now one better than Weatherspoons, fine if you're looking for something quick & cheapish on your way somewhere else but for a special meal don't bother.

Dont bother with this place. We had appalling service when we visited there on Friday. There were 10 of us and we only received 9 plates of food. The staff were aggressive and the whole experience was most unpleasant.
