We were recommended by family to visit the establishment, upon our visit we were greeted by cheery memebers of staff who were only happy to help. The food was excellent and a variety of beers to choose from. They accomodated our children excellently with large play area and garden to enjoy the subshine. we would most definatly recommend this pub a visit, it was excellent value for money.

To say I was disappointed at my visit would be a massive understatement.
My family and I had heard that this was a place to visit, and that the ambience was exelent and the food second to none.
What we found was a very different story altogether.
The waiting on staff were, to say the least, totally unaware of what customer service is all about.
The food was mediocre to say the least, both undercooked and cold. (20 minute wait for starter and the pub was NOT busy).
The bar area itself was over-run by children, in fact two were sitting on barstools, and could have been no more than 6 or 7.
The outside area could only be described as a health and safety nightmare. So much so that I did not allow my children out to play there.
The flowerbeds wer mud patches, with the spikes for automatic irrigation sticking up just waiting for a child to fall on to them.
There was glasses unattended (empty) on the tables in the grassy childrens playarea, and the play toys were of dubious maintainence. In fact some were dangerously broken and worn.
The outside furniture was in poor order and dirty, and there was rubbish all over the ground outside in the patio area.
I will never return to this establishment again, and I would urge anyone reading this review to give this pub a wide berth.
