I have read many reviews of these premises even when i lived in nottm but when i moved to lincoln and found this quaint freindly pub i just had to go back and not only do i drink there i now work there, although the bar is a bit small it is the whole atmosphere of the pub brought on by the manager and his wife who bring together the best local food served with the best cask conditioned ale brought to us by an exceptional cellarman and staff that make the whole visit that much more enjoyable on a more personal note, if i had to say a few words regarding the pub i would say "take the time out to visit the pub weather it be at lunch for food or for a quiet drink in the evening do it just for the atmosphere"
