I went to this pub today for lunch with. 8 year old granddaughter. I was seen at the bar by a barmaid (don't know her name, she was short) she said "I'll be with you in a minute. This went on and on during, this time the, owner came to the bar and proceeded to serve several women in a group and then two blokes were served while I was still waiting. The woman saw me there while she went in and out carrying things in and out. In the end we left and as we left the woman decided it was time to then serve us. Too late. As we were leaving she was seen to make a face behind my back! I will never attempt to eat in this place again. If they have a bar that turns a corner there should be enough staff to cover it.

On a visit to friends living in Carterton they took me for a night out at the Beehive public house which is situated in Carterton town centre. I have NEVER been to such an appalling pub in all my 10 years of pubbing it!! First we had to PAY to get in! Then The costs of drinks were not only overpriced but varied in cost. One visit to the bar cost me £5.50 for a glass of wine, whilst the next cost me £4.90! For the same measure of the SAME wine! Then I was short changed TWICE by different members of staff but the most shocking thing was that on one visit to the bar the barman was taking tips from customers who were there after me so that they would get served first!! When I questioned him about this he just shrugged it off!! UNBELIEVABLE place! AVOID at all costs!
