This is a splendid, lively pub with heavy rock juke box and live bands most week ends. The landlady is a misery, but the staff and customers are friendy. Don't be fooled by their often fierce appearance. Large beer garden with tables outside. Large function room available upstairs with stage. Facilities for parking motorcycles next to the pub and several car parks nearby. No food downstairs other than crisps, peanuts and so on. People hiring the function room can arrange food and/or entertainment.
Should point out that the address is 24 Pelham Street NOT 1
