I booked this room over the phone about a week before we arrived; however when we arrived the lady behind the bar took ages to book us in. had to ask her twice if we could book in. The room was fine, bed comfy, bath and shower good. No noise, the rest of the staff were really nice, but we were really disappointed with the food, it can only be described as tasteless. There didn't appear to be much effort put in to it. One sweet we had.. Cheesecake, tasted stale. We have stayed at smaller Inns and have always had excellent meals. Very disappointing.

The Plough and Horses is a typical countryside pub in a quiet environment.
I was accommodated in a en-suite room that was quite comfortable, and the breakfast were served by a very nice lady.
Maybe, the only problem is about transport, because it is usually difficult to book a taxi in Crowborough (you usually have to wait even for hours!)and Plough and Horses is not located in the downtown.
However, i felt satisfied, because of the details referred and of the not expensive pub's fares.

My stay at the Plough and Horses was just great. The rooms are comfortable, the owners and staff are the nicest, most polite people you'll ever meet, the food is good and plentiful and the beer is great. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, would return in a minute and would reccommend it without reservation.
