This a return visit after many years out of the area, the pub has certainly deteriated, inside warm and welcoming however seats badly worn with carparks and surrounding landscape littered with bottles, cans, rubbish and the remains of a bonfire, the caring landlord long since gone, no pride in what coud be an outstanding location

What a fantastic pub. My wife and I called on spec. to have a really lovely evening. The general atmosphere is great and the food was superb. Everything is cooked fresh and the produce we understand is all locally sourced. It was by far the best meal out for ages, at an excellent price. We asked to see the chef and were pleased to thank him in person. Totally recommended - we are looking forward to our next visit.
