My wife and I visited Marlborough last weekend and asked a friend to advise on a cosy charming pub in Marlborough as we were visiting our son at the college. He advised us to go to The Wellington Arms. On arrival the fire was blazing and we were warmly greeted by the Landlady with a Good afternoon. I asked what fare was available and the choice was surprisingly large. I opted for the real ale (Ramsburys) and my wife had a coffee. While we waited we pleasantly chatted with Kim (Landlady)about the pub and Marlborough. The pub is small with low ceilings, beams a number of tables with a smallish dinning area at the back. Sunday Papers we provided for free to include Broad sheets as well as some tabloids. As it was lunch time we decided to order a roast lunch. (Beef).. It came within about 10 mins with beef, carrots, cabbage, Yorkshire pudding and potatoes. In a word Marvellous with moderate pricing great service and a welcoming atmosphere.. We will certainly be going back and will tell all our friends. Well Done Kim and James!! (Land Lord and Lady)
