Good Points: room and service were excellent - although reception was not manned when we arrived and had to look for someone
Bad Points: breakfast was a little disappointing - only streaky bacon and the hot was not very hot - the plates were also cold
General review: lovely hotel and the staff made up for any deficiencies

Good Points: Quiet room overlooking garden
Bad Points: Toilet seat cracked, small shower cubicle
General review: Hotel is situated in beautiful grounds but near the motorway. This did not affect us as we had the windows closed but might be a problem if it was a hot day/night. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially the waitress. Menu was interesting although I was dismayed to see rabbit on there(I have 2 pet house rabbits at home). Room was very clean but the toilet seat was cracked and the shower cubicle was very small. Lovely cotton sheets and duvets on a comfortable bed, with spare blankets and pillows in wardrobe.
