We have never been so disappointed with a supposedly 'luxury' hotel. Despite booking a 'deluxe' room, the room was tiny, the bath was stained and suitable only for the short of limb, the 'castle' view was of the castle car park and the deluxe package of fruit, wine, dressing gowns was no where to be found. It was all hard work, phoning reception to point out everything missing, being woken by the cleaners at 8.50 on a Sunday morning after a poor night's sleep due to banging doors and car alarms going off, and being given autopilot answers by the reception staff when overcharged on our bill. No sign of genuine customer service.
The website is also highly misleading. There is no such thing as a smoking room despite being given that option on the online booking form.
