Not as good as it says on the website,
The menu wasnt really what I had expected as there wasnt as much good old fashioned food as described.
I thought the food was very expensive and as regards the beer which been a country pub would be hand pulled,failed me im afraid.even though it was quiet on the night the glum faces didnt help matters I wasnt all that impressed with it.I wouldnt want to rush back in a hurry.

Having found out that this inn had been taken over by the same owners as The Kings Arms in Haworth i was eager to see what had been done with the place. On entrance to the pub you can clearly see the changes. Friendly reception from the young lady behind the bar. Mr and Mrs Duke (the new owners) made the time to speak to the customers and get to know them. Their new menu is mouth watering and i will be returning on a sunday to sample the carvery. Overall this was an enjoyable experience and not to be missed

What a lovely place, an idyllic setting, wonderful food,great service.The hotel itself is a lovely place, clean,spacious, very comfortable, very relaxing.The rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds are very comfortable.A fridge in the room would have been nice, but it was well served otherwise with tea making facility.
The area is only a few miles from Dewsbury town centre, but you would think you were in the middle of the Dales, it is so peaceful. The scenery is also very beatiful, but you are only around 30 minutes drive from the Leeds city centre, and all the tourist attractions there, yet from junction 25 on the m62 at Brighouse, the hotel is only a 20 minute drive through the beatiful panoramic views of Hopton and Whitley itself.The prices are very reasonable, and the english breakfast is delectable, with local butchers bacon and sausage, fresh farm eggs, fresh orange juice, and all that comes with traditional home cooked fare.

The Woolpack has recently changed hands and has had a makeover. The French chef and owner has got a great menu with small portions of any meal for the kids which is great. The rooms are all refurbished and the service is excellent. ITs in a lovely rural spot and the bar has sofas and is really comfy with open fires in the winter.
