Good Points: Excellent service from staff. Very impressed by bowl of fruit in room Bad Points: Unfortunately the weekend we visited the lift was out of action, not usually a problem but as I'm 8 months pregnant and we were on 3rd floor it wasn't great for us!

Good Points: I found the hotel quiet and peaceful. Overlooking a park my room had a lovely view over Bristol. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bad Points: The room was very hot and would have benefitted from air conditioning. I was provided with a fan which helped somewhat. I was disappointed that the only TV channels which had good reception were Sky Sports and Sky News. None of the terrestrial channels were clear enough to watch. I would have liked decaffienated tea which was requested prior to my stay but not provided. There were, however a selection of herbal teas and chocolate, together with fresh coffee and tea for those who can drink caffiene. General Review: A lovely hotel with friendly staff situated in a quiet old English square overlooking a small park. The smell of blossom on the breeze was heavenly and although my room would have benefitted from air conditioning my stay was most enjoyable. I would certainly use this hotel again if I visit Bristol in the future.

It is not possible for me to sing the praises of this hotel high enough. After receiving a warm welcome from the immaculately presented front of house staff, I was pleased to find a spacious, well designed and maintained room with a beautiful view across the square. The staff were all eager to help without being pushy, and the friendly and chatty bar man made cocktails to rival even those I have had in the finest hotels of Manhattan. Although I did not sample the food of The Square Restaurant during my stay, it will certainly be a must for my next visit, as the bar snacks and breakfast I enjoyed were delicious. With my every whim catered for - I was particularly impressed with the provision of a DVD/CD player - my stay was relaxed, comfortable and much enjoyed. A very definite 10/10 for The Berkeley Hotel from this guest!!
