We fell in love with this pub in 2004 and eagerly awaited our return in 2006. In that period some body had decided to turn a delightful 19th century style pub into a 21st century monstrosity, completely ruining the atmosphere, and they had removed Theakstons Old Peculiar from the beer list. We will not be returning again.

After a day on hill a brilliant pint of Sneck Lifter but outside the unswept fag ends around the tables were disgusting!
We moved on to another cleaner scene.
