Good Points: inside room decor adequate
Bad Points: general maintenence of hotel was bad dirty carpets and wore in general areas outside decor scruffy birds resting on all areas on the outside all windows dirty and some dead flies on window sills
General review: ok but hotel needs some care and further overall cleaning and updating as pillows were also worn

Good Points: The hotel is convenient for the centre of Guildford,restaurants and railway station for access to London.
Bad Points: Public areas were dingy in need of refurbishment with a pervading aroma of stale food. Double room, in need of decoration with peeling wall paper, whilst the bed linen was clean the pillows themselves smelled less than fresh. The bathroom had clearly not had a "deep clean" for some time. The guests in the room next door to mine ordered room service and left their dirty tray with smelly curry outside their room for collection; it was not collected for several hours resulting in my room reeking of curry all night long.
