I needed to use star taxis this morning as being disabled they have always been very good with my requirements as I need a certain car to pick me up. I am in constant pain all over my body and require the constant use of either crutches or a wheelchair. I phoned this morning at about 10.40am and spoke to Mark who has always been incredibly helpful and sympathetic, to book a taxi for 12.30pm to take me to the dentist as I had an appointment for 12.45pm and it is only a five minute drive. When it did not turn up by 12.40pm I called the taxi firm and the girl said it was on its way and would only be 3-4 minutes. After my daughter tried to call again it eventually turned up at 12.50pm. Every time we tried to call the phone would cut off. The taxi driver who took me was very nice and said he would look into it for me as he did not receive the job until after 12.30pm. My daughter in the mean time tried to phone back and talk to the manager and only got answered when she used two phones, one with the number witheld as obviously our number comes up when calling. When I was about to leave the dentist I tried calling on my mobile to book a taxi and my phone was cut off twice. The dental receptoinist made the call for me and was answered. When the taxi turned up he opened the door said Mrs Jones? and shut the door again. I walked round to the passenger door very painfully on my crutches and he leant across and pushed it open a bit. I said "thats very helpful" to which he replied "what do you want me to do carry you? Not only did my dentist have to forgo part of his lunch hour to fit me in but I have been put through an excess amount of pain and distress. Can I be assured that this will not happen again or do I have to look for another Taxi firm. My daughter also would like to add that when dealing with the girl on the phones that her attitude was completely unhelpful and rude.
