Good Points: Excellent service, very nice and quiet room, great atmosphere.
Bad Points: A little bit hard to find (some signs are hidden behind bushes).

Good Points: Excellent accommodation for the price.
General review: Little information on meal arrangements and menu's on the website. We choose to dine at the main restaurant and booked for 8.30p.m., in reception. The restaurant did not have our booking recorded! Fortunately, still a table free in the front room of the mansion and we sat down in the excellent surroundings of the 400 year old mansion house. Our experience very disappointing. 1 - Throughout the rest of the evening, it became obvious the restaurant was completly under staffed and disorganised.The waiters on duty, were obviously doing their best but just could not cope. We had to request butter several times before it arrived. The main meal arrived without the vegetables, which we had to wait some time for. Then the 4/5 tables in this room appeared to be completely forgotten for some 15 minutes, with all the tables talking between us on the problems of the evening!! 2 - Both my wife and I, choose the stuffed mushrooms. Did we read the menu incorrectly and it was 'mushroom'? For a £2.25 supplenment we expected more than one SMALL mushroom each. My wifes chicken dish contained very little chicken. For the price, one expects better service and less 'portion control'. Couples whom arrived after us, had worse problems with service and food quality. We will stay again, but dine out in the evening, until someone can convince us the restaurant problems have been resolved.

Good Points: Lovely setting and great facilities.
Bad Points: Could hear the television of the next door room.
General review: This is a fantastic hotel,despite previous reviews I had read. The room we stayed in was comfortable and well decorated.It was good value for money. We will definately use this site again to book future hotels.
