Whilst i had every intention of staying at this hotel i am very glad it never happened. A dear friend had booked her wedding here but unfortunatley had to cancel(with at least 2 months notice). This so called hotel are STILL demanding money from this poor girl.(After taking over 2000 pound already.) When i rang to cancel my room i was told by a member of staff how irratating i was and tough i was getting no money back, done and dusted. How disgusting this hotel treat there so called guests.I would rather recommend staying with in Doncaster prison...you may get more respect.

The Pub was the headquaters of the 1st cavalry division for a short while in Dec 1939 before we left for the Middle East. The Officers were in the Hotel other ranks slept and "Dined" in the Stables. In a short while we left to go to palestine the whole village turned out to see us off at midnight and gave us sandwiches and cake. I have never forgot their hospitality, It is nice to see it on the net GOOD HEALTH and all the best have one on me. I am 87 the 27 of Dec BUT THE MEMORIES STILL REMAIN.Vern
