We were staying at the nearby St David's Park Hotel and had been recommended to try the Boars Head. We rang to enquire about the food etc on the first day of our stay, Monday 29th Dec, to be told that the pub did not do food on Mondays. Thinking that Tuesday would be OK we walked over to the pub but did not receive a very welcoming reception and were told that they were not doing food either that night.
Still managed to find a great pub nearby called the Fox & Grapes. Take my advice - give the Boars Head a miss.
