I thought I'd add a comment, not stayed here at all, but I was an auxilary nurse here back in the early seventies. It was a great place, with a nice feel to it. I visited it once later on when it was used as a college, and was given the grande tour treatment.. good luck to those staying there now..

Good Points: Room was spacious and the food was pleasant and the staff were friendly. There was free parking and it was close enough to Bath. Bad Points: There was no atmosphere in the hotel ,it felt like a business conference centre General review: It was pleasant and reasonably priced

Looks great on the website, but on arrival I found out that the spa was not working, and in order to use the sauna, it had to be announced to the Reception so that they could turn it on.( I had treated my boyfriend to a relaxing weekend..!) It was quite under-staffed, and we had to wait ages at the bar before anyone would serve us. Breakfast in bed was cold (the kitchen is miles away from the accomodation. (It used to be a nursing home, so expect it to feel like that. But, the staff were very friendly and gave us a late check out room for no extra charge, and gave us great recommendations for food and drink, and they tried to help in any way they could. Disappointing, to say the least, considering the money I paid.
