Our visit to Grassington market was a highlight of our holiday in yorkshire, the stalls had much better produce than bigger markets we went to. The local produce was delicious especially Cracoe Cakes, definately the best cakes we tried in yorkshire and we hunted for them at other markets in vain! We can say with certainty they do the best curd tarts and yorkshire tea loaf, and their brownies, blondies and fat rascal were outstanding too.
There was a brilliant cheese stall and a stall with jams and chutneys, we liked their blueberry and lavender jam and the red onion marmalade.
It was great to refresh ourselves with a creamy icecream from a local shop made using cream from their herd of Guernsey cows.
We would like to visit again.
