1 of 5 stars i strongly recomenend giving this" little village pub" (A basement under flats) a wide berth, sun evening myself and fellow members of the local fire station chose to have our christmas get together there, 1 week prior to the evening i went and ordered our food and paid a deposit, on the evening of the meal i was told we hadn't paid on our previous visit ( to order food) for 1 drink, which i found hard to believe as we had ordered a drink then paid a deposit for the meal now comes the real true character of our friendly landlord, i paid in full the additional amount demanded after enquiring what the extra charge was for , but on leaving ,i said see you next time to which i had a sarcastic response of "we will see " i took this as an insult after spending in excess of 60 pounds when i asked what he meant i was told "come outside and we will sort it out there" i took this as a direct threat. by now a few of his locals i personally knew stepped in to prevent him from causing me harm as a 17 stone mans, man i found this beyond belief that a little fat man thought he might try to intimidate me,but as a a greater man i left without fuss, i can only recommend unless you enjoy being insulted and intimidated then as a local you stay away or stand of the wrath of our "nice "new landlord
