I have visited there twice in the last year and have been very disapointed at the quality of the food and slow service. Last night 5 of us visited and everyone was very disapointed with their meal. We are not fastidious and love to support local restaurants. I used to use this place often for customer meals with great success but it has certainly taken a turn for the worse - I will keep to the tried and tested ones from now on. Pull your socks up - you got a great location and decor and should make the food match.

Heading back from Gloucester, my girlfriend and I decided to stop in Tetbury for lunch. We discovered the Blue Zucchini (the only place open). It was a sunny day and we wanted to sit outside, in desperation we entered the Zucchini and discover a beautiful court yard in the very back. Very good menu, massive portions and some of the best baked goods I've ever had. The menu ventures mostly on the Italian bistro side but there are many English and American dishes to choose from. We were actually overwhelmed by things on the menu we wanted to try. The only issue I had was the service is a little slow, but if you have ever been to a "real" bistro in Italy you will know that speed and lunch or dinner don't go together. You are meant to enjoy your meal. We spent almost 3 hours sun bathing and eating wonderful morsels of food. Service was polite and responded quite well to requests for extra drinks and or food. A wonderful restaurant, one of the best I've experienced in a long time. If you are ever in Tetbury please go in and see what you’re missing!

We have visited the Blue Zucchini on several (at least three) occasions and have had very pleasant experiences. The owners are delightful people, dedicated to creating the correct "feel" for the bistro by ensuring good service and excellent food. With any establishment there will always be "off days" and I expect this is true of this charming eatery, but so far we've not experienced one of these days here, long may it last.

Copy of an email sent to the Owner . Having visited your "Brassiere" . I felt you might be interested in some customer feed back . My wife and I arrived at your Brassiere at 2.25pm yesterday afternoon and requested a table for two. We were requested to be seated and a table would be made up . The Restaurant was slightly less than half full. After about 5 mins we were shown to the table and given two menus each . We were approached after 10 minutes if we would like to order any drinks, I selected from your wine list a bottle of bin number 16 a New Zealand Hawkes bay Rose . After another 10 minutes we were approached again and asked what we would like to order. My wife ordered the Roast Lamb in a Yorkshire pudding off the Sunday Lunch Menu and I ordered a Hamburger off the other lunch menu . I was then informed that " we haven't got any lamb" . My wife therefore had to order the Roast Chicken. I was informed " Hamburgers not available on Sunday" and that "only Salads and sandwiches available from the lunch menu". Considering the alternative albeit now reduced options I ordered the Roast Beef in a Yorkshire pudding .Following another 5 minutes the waiter approached with a bottle of Rose offering a Californian Zinfandel.I pointed out that this was not the wine we had ordered . I was informed that it was Bin number 16 and that's what we ordered !. I pointed out that the menus description pointed to a New Zealand wine and not a Californian . After some persuasion the waiter was finally convinced and retired with the bottle . After an additional 10 minutes we had noticed that customers that had entered the Brassiere after us were already half way through their meal even though we had ordered earlier . The waiter never returned with the correct bottle of wine and looking at what customers were being served with showed that the Sunday Roast did not relate in actuality to its menu description. The so called Yorkshire pudding that the various roast meats were allegedly served in was in a fact a sad looking thing stuck on the side of the plate ? Being now well into 35 minutes with no prospect of the ordered wine turning up and a meal bearing little resemblance to its description we left . As we passed the staff they all in chorus announced " thank you very much Goodbye !" When my wife and I were outside I was looking for camera lighting and a production team as I was now convinced that this was in fact a new series for BBC 1 of "Basils Brassiere " an attempt by Basil Fawlty to open a Brassiere having made a complete pigs ear of trying to run a failing hotel . May I congratulate you on being part of an establishment that is without doubt the most dysfunctional incompetent outfit I have ever had the misfortune to come across . If I had not experienced it I would not have believed it . I have considered passing your email address on to Gordon Ramsay to see if he can do anything with your establishment but feel that the scale of the challenge facing him too monumental and that setting up a Vegetarian Fish and Chip shop would have better chance of making it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously someone needs to consider an alternative profession such a ferret breeding or palaeontology ...
