I have been to this in the past and would thoroughly recommend it. It's a very interesting event with many different varieties to choose from: I bought a couple and also some onions. It's very busy and you're probably only going to want to spend a few hours there but a good day out nevertheless.

Cannot agree with comment not so good last year.. growers have occasional problems with a crop and buyers need to book ahead if they want to guarantee something special and be adaptable. personally love the atmosphere and the stall holders are very pleasant and very helpful and the main supplier is always available with advice.

It was not so good as they year before. I wanted some "mimi" potatos but there were none. There were fewer stalls and generally it was less interesting. Hpwever, we had a great lunchin one of the local pubs. Will go again this year if only for the great lunch and walk by the river

Generally good. Last year ('09) we went to the talk on growing potatoes and enjoyed it very much. It is very much a 'squeeze' to choose the potatoes and the queues quite long to pay but they move fast. There is not really much you can do about that while it is so popular. I was disappointed that you did not have all the varieties you had advertised I have been trying to get Roseval for the past two years having got them in '07, with no success. I have a 10 rod allotment so grow quite a lot and usually 4 varieties.
