Good Points: Fantastic location amongst woods + lakes, we had a log cabin seperate from main hotel (which was also made from logs)which made our stay more private and for us more enjoyable. Ducks + rabits wandering around outside too.
Bad Points: Wished we could have stayed longer!
General review: Fantastic. Would definitely stay at Chevin Country Park Hotel again.

Good Points: I found the hotel was very good even though there were building works they did not create a disturbance. Plenty of hot water. The Spa was good, though the changing rooms could be a bit cleaner.
Bad Points: The only downside was the shower in our bathroom, we are both tall, my partner 6'2" and there was no way we could have a shower as it was set under the eaves. So when we come again I will need to make sure that we do not have a room upstairs.
I would like to suggest that you leave some floats and tubes in the pool area for people to use when relaxing in the Pool. No walkway cover between hotel and spa, it would be nice to go between the two without the risk of getting wet.
General review: Overall it was a lovely stay.

my husband and i stayed in a double executive room in the hotel which was really cosey and very clean the bathroom was heated and the towels fluffy, all in log style decor. The room had tea-making facilitie with shortbread and a selection of tea or coffee,a tv and the bed was made up with lovely clean white linned with a tartan throw on the foot of the bed. There was a vast choice for breakfast all the usual choice but the evening meal was something else,It was amazing, fantastically presented and tasted great. The hotel had log fires burning and was all scandinavian in decor. The hotel grounds were very scenic with lakes and forests there was also a indoor pool which we never used but looked clean.I will definetaly be comming back laer in the year.

Good Points: Pleasant situation and attractive appearance. Facilities conveniently organised
Bad Points: Room too small. Inadequate storage space for one, let alone two. Bathroom always cold. Light over mirror did not work.
General review: Service inconsistent in both in dining room and and guest room. Early breakfast was good, with plate service, no buffet. Late breakfast overcrowded. Delays in preparing vacated tables. No plate service but buffet replenished, except potatoes, when majority of customers had left. Bath towel provided on first night but not replaced on nights two and three. No face flanel at all.

We were guests at a wedding at Chevin Country Park and all went well as far as the wedding was concerned. The hotel seems to run less smoothly. Despite having booked rooms last August our reservations were wrong and it was just good luck the hotel was not full and other rooms could be found. Our replacement room was a family room and was spacious with a view of the lake. It was no cleaner than many other hotels I have stayed in and the mattress had seen better days. Apart from the view the room was nothing special despite city centre prices in Otley in January! The "standard double" my mother in law had was too small to accommodate 2 in any comfort, despite a standard rate of £118. On checking out she was charged this full rate despite qualifying for a wedding guest discount - we are now waiting for a refund.
The room passes worked intermittently - why cant we just have keys? The restaurant ran out of orange juice at breakfast etc. OK nothing major was wrong but I felt the hotel was attempting to punch above its weight, and charging top dollar for rather mediocre facilities.
