this was our first visit with friends for sunday lunch, not impressed at all the roast was far from satisfactory the gravy was like water and the veg was notcooked properly and the stuffing was like rubber, and the jacket potato my friend ordered was overdone, one of the worst meals we have ever had needless to say that will be our last visit, but i must say when i later phoned and conplained that they would have tried to resolve the matter if i had complained at the time not the thing to do when you have company with you

This is the place to go if you want good value for money. There was a large retirement party while we were there yet we were served promtly and the food was well presented and hot. It's an Inn that serves 2 main courses for the price of the cheapest one. Which is really good value for money. My husband and I can now go out for a delicious meal in lovely surroundings more often. The meals are served on a two for the price of one basis and give good value for money so we can afford to go every week and we do because the meals are very good. There is heaps of choice, something for everyone. OK it isn't Cordon Bleu you can't expect it to be for that price. But the meals are delicious, the staff are friendly, the service is quick and efficient. I really look forward to my weekly treat there.

We ordered two rump steaks, medium rare, one sirloin steak, medium rare and a special chicken in white wine and stilton course.
The chicken was served with new potatoes which unfortunately were grey in the middle, the cauliflower and carrots were obviously frozen and overcooked.
All three steaks were cooked correctly but unfortunately all were very grissily and tough.
We were not able to each any of the steak or chicken and asked for it to be wrapped up to take home for our dogs.
I was very disappointed that The Camelot have resorted to using all 'bouhght in' meals with frozen vegetables.
The meat quality is very poor and frozen vegetables, especially when overcooked have no flavour.
Prior to The Camelot being taken over by the current Franchise we would eat there regularly and enjoyed some wonderful home-made meals with fresh vegetables full of flavour.
Since the new Franchise have taken over we have eaten at The Camelot several times and each time have had 'below par' meals but each time given the benefit of the doubt and left it some time, then tried again in the hope it has improved - unfortuantely it definately has not.
We have no intention of eating there again.
