Good Points: The staff were extremely efficient and eager to please, the evening meal was top class and served beautifully. The hotel itself was exactly what we expected. Bad Points: There was no trouser press in the room and the TV did not have radio on it as advertised. General review: Overall very enjoyable and very reasonably priced.

Good Points: It has character General review: The evening meal was nothing special and there was little choice. Dinner was inclusive with the room rate otherwise I would've eaten elsewhere.

My husband and I have just had a lovely stay at the Keswick. We took our 6 month old baby boy with us. We were made to feel very welcome and all the staff and other guests were lovely with our little boy. The Hotel is beautiful, the food was fantastic and the surroundings were breath taking. Can't wait to go back. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends with confidence.

We visited The Keswick on the above date plus a few times previously and are due to return in March this year. I can hardly wait-it's an excellent hotel in a very central position to Keswick and surrounding areas. Leave the car in the hotel car park and walk into Keswick and down to Derwentwater (no problem). The staff are first class and the food very good. Our room has always been very clean and well maintained. A comfortable lounge for after dinner if you don't wish to go out, with very attentive bar staff. It's our wedding aniversary when we next go- it is a special date for a special hotel.

What can I say, My husband and I enjoyed our visit so much we plan to go back soon. Our room was large and comfortable, our view was over the garden with the hills in the distance. The evening meal was outstanding value and the breakfast was the best I've had. Highly recommended.

As a mature couple we wanted somewhere special to get engaged we decided on this hotel as we wanted somewhere where the scenery and surroundings were out of this world. This hotel and its staff were extremely helpful and very courteous. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable and full of very precious memories.

As we had stayed at this excellent hotel on five previous occasions, we decided to spend Christmas 2005 here and we were not disappointed. As usual the food, service and accomodation was superb. The staff could not do enough for us especially bearing in mind that it was Christmas for them as well. There was entertainment laid on every evening and there were small presents, chocolates and fruit in the rooms. I have shown the hotel booklet of activities and menus to work colleagues and they are most impressed I recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a really nice friendly place to stay for a short break.
