Lovely setting! Shame about the food.
Today was the Rye scallop festival so the menu, which looked great, was all about scallops. The scallops were lovely however the salads were limp, unimaginative . It took over an hour to get our meal. The meals were very over priced. By the time we had finished they had run out of alcohol and scallops which was surprising given that the restaurant was only half full. So much potential not lived up to!

Fab location, great staff who are friendly and efficient but the food verges on inedible - over cooked and extortionate prices for appalling quality. I have eaten better from a fairground stall!
The menu on its website is cheaper and has more to offer than at the cafe. A rare steak like rubber, the delicious sounding vegetarian meal was a pile of mush and the fish kebab was chewy but then so were the chips!
