Having just returned from what is possibly the worst dining experience I've ever encountered, I thought I would share a few details. Rude, disinterested staff in curry-stained clothes, a raw starter that had to be taken away and a tramp invited to be seated on the neighbouring table (who proceeded to fall off his chair onto the floor where he was left lying by staff) were a few of our highlights we were treated to in exchange for our £40 bill. But from staff who told us, when helping their clearly drunk diner up: 'Leave him, he's mental', I wouldn't expect much more. The beer was warm but had slightly more flavour than the meals that were brought out. The atmosphere was non-existent and the only real sound was that of other diners complaining to staff about their food or the door slamming as they left. I've never been one to complain and this is my first food review but would like to strongly discourage anyone from wasting their time, or money, visiting. I'd rather go hungry.

Firstly the restaurant was half empty (on a saturday night). We still had to wait for our table to be 'prepared'. Waited 30 minutes to be asked what we wanted to order. The staff were just short of rude. The food, when it arrived, was of poor quality. We complained about both service & food. Even though a portion of the bill was deducted to make up for our dissapointing evening we will not be returning. I recommend that others try the kabbabish in Boldmere. Great service / food every time.

Have been many times over the past few years but this was first visit this year. This restaurant is now in urgent need of refurbishment. Aggressive order taking by senior member of staff, slow service, lukewarm food. Toilets below standard. Restaurant deserted by 10pm on a Friday night which says it all. Unanimous decision by party of 6 that we will never go again.

I have been to the bashundora numerous times before but not since 2002. I was completely disapointed with both the service and standard of food. The waitor who was serving us was miserable and didnt seem to care that he nearly elbowed one of the diners in the head. The plates had been lent on each other and it was only due to my friends bieng observant that no one got cury stains on their clothes. My main bug bear is the meals which were served up. They seemed to arrive at very random timings, one was ready then five minutes later came the next meal. The waitor must have forgotten one meal meal as it turned up barely recognisable as the meal i had ordered. You could clearly see it was just a generic 'throw-together' of ingredients and lacked coocking time and certain stated elements. Also both naan breads were undercooked so i gather these were forgotten too. If we were told there were problems it would have been fine and i would have waited for my meal to be cooked properly but to just lie and cover over the matter was unacceptable.
